Summer- it's what FUN is!!

I am so excited that summer is here! When McKayla went off to first grade this year and was gone ALL day, it was sad. I am so glad we get her home for the summer.

Last summer some friends were gently trying to persuade us (shall we say hardcore peer pressure? Just kiddin!) to get Lagoon season passports. Olivia was still such a wee chinchilla that we had to decline. This year we wanted to go to Disneyland but we are thinking of maybe getting a house and decided to skip Disneyland. In leiu of that we decided to get the Lagoon passports and have a staycation all summer long. And because I'm uber cheap (tacky to say, I know, but still true!) I am adamant we will get our money out of it. And we already have. Yesterday was our 4th trip to Lagoon this season and we are loving it!

I am amazed at how many rides Olivia can get on: Oddysea, the Log Flume, the tiki wiki boat, puff's roller coaster, the haunted houses, carousel, train, sky ride and ferris wheel! She is such a good baby and loves people watching in the stroller and is great for hours on end! So if anyone is going to Lagoon this summer, give us a call!

  3. I can't believe the Dotson's would be so mean as to hard core pressure you to get passes! What horrible friends. I can't believe you gave into such horrible peer pressure....what hope do your kids have to avoid temptation?

  5. Rachel,

I am over here checking out your blog - did you buy Olivia a season pass or did you just take her on those rides without one? Our family bought season passes as well but I didn't get one for Carter so I was just curious! Hope to see you up there one day - we probably will as it seems the same friends convinced a lot of us to get passes - it is going to be so much fun!!

  6. Kristi- we did not buy Olivia a pass. Kids under 3 get in free but they are only supposed to be able to get on the train, carousel and sky ride but nobody cares! They do have to sit in there own seat for alot of the rides and that is Olivia's problem- she doesn't like to sit! But we have fun all the same. Hope to see you there!

  7. Rachel - thanks for the tip. We will have to try to take Carter on a few rides. I had read that they could go on those three rides - but really didn't think it would be worth it to buy him his own pass. Now if only it would stop raining we could go and try it out - but I love the rain too!!
