Raegan was scheduled to go to Denver for work. My sister lives out here so we decided to tag along. First, Raegan's company rented us a car. When we arrived to pick it up, they were out of full size cars so they gave us an 2010 extended cab Silverado. Pretty sweet! Driving here was insane! It rained to soooo hard that there was flash floods along the I-70 and cars were pulled over everywhere. Suddenly that truck with all the stuff in the back getting soaked didn't seem so sweet anymore. There was almost no visibility and I kindly suggested that maybe we should pull over like everyone else. Raegan (in his most deep, growly cowboy voice) said " No, we gotta truck! He played a little country music and I think he may have even been on the look out for a ten gallon hat and belt buckle. I don't think I should ever let that man own a truck or he will turn country on me for sure.
I couldn't believe how huge Denver is. It makes Salt Lake City look small town. We are having fun though; sleeping in, swimming and playing with the Denver cousins. The thing that amazes me most about Denver though is the number of bunnies everywhere. I didn't see in the first 30 years of my life as many bunnies as I have in the last week. The other night we left to go to dinner and drive by the Denver temple. Within a 1/2 mile from our hotel we had spotted 4 bunnies just hanging out along the road in bushes. At the temple grounds we saw 8 bunnies. Insane! You would think they reproduced like... well never mind.
Looks like I need to add a retort to this entry.
ReplyDeleteFirst I am glad my wife used my name rather than just an R.
Second out "Truuuck" does not require the use of a belt buckle or a 10 gallon hat. The REDNECK NOISE was a song I downloaded for Rachel. I don't listen to the stuff except for my girls.
There are a lot of rabbits here and I wonder why they are not splattered all over the road. Maybe they are smarter than cats.
I am just glad to have my family along on this business trip.
As of Monday only one bunny.
ReplyDeleteTuesdays total is three. One at the Temple and two at the hotel.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you guys have been having lots of fun! I love road trips. Hey, why don't you grab and bunny and bring it home. I'm sure your girls would love it. :)
ReplyDeleteWednesday was a record bunny count for this week with 7 bunnies. Granted I saw three of them afar off while driving, but they were bunnies.
ReplyDeleteThursday zero bunnies.
Friday two bunnies. One had been hit by a car so maybe don't count that one.
ReplyDeleteWe are talking about fluffy bunnies and not snow bunnies right?
